Wood pulp that’s used to make paper comes from trees that take 20 years to mature. Hemp can be ready to harvest in as little as 60 days. Hemp can also produce four times as much pulp per acre as trees.
Hemp is also naturally resistant to disease and pests like fungi and insects. This means there’s no need to use chemicals, pesticides and fungicides that harm the environment.
In fact, hemp removes toxins from the soil and makes it healthier. So hemp gives back to the earth.
How Hemp Straw Packaging Reduces Global Waste
This plastic litter is non-biodegradable and pumps toxins into the air for up to 50 million years. It also kills more than 1,000,000 birds and 100,000 sea mammals and turtles each year.
So instead of using polystyrene, styrofoam, bubble wrap or any other plastic packaging materials, we use hemp straw because it’s natural, non-toxic and biodegrades in months.
